I have a dynex dx-lcd37-02 and I can not find a setup code for it that will make it work on my time warner cable remote.

First, there is no such thing as a 'universal' remote, even the 'learning' remotes will not learn from every original remote. Second, for anyone to help you, you need to post both model numbers, the player's and the remotes.
Generally, if a remote is only even a little older than the player, it may not contain the code set for the player.
