I have a Maytag MAV6300AWW, it does not spin the clothes dry. It works fine otherwise. Any idea what the problem is. I saw an answer but it must be for another model. My model appears not to have carbon brushes or a circuit board.

The main shaft has two bearings. These bearings are going bad. If not at this time, then very soon you will discover water under your machine. This is because the seal lets water get buy which ruins the bearings. Then when machine goes into spin cycle it will sound like a jetliner taking off or coming in for a landing. it is normal for clothes to be a bit wet after spin.approximately about 80 percent of your clothes will be dry after spin. you may hang your clothes to completely dry or place it inside a drier machine

can you tell if the motor is turning,if so it could be your idler pulley and youve lost belt tension,otherwise it could be your motor start capacitor if motor spins freely with power and belt off

its probably because of the way the clothes are in it. you have to make sure the clothes arent leaning to one side and that they are evenly set up. otherwise when it goes into the spin cycle itll lean and hit the side of the washers inside and make it shake and do what you said it was doing.

Sounds like the upper bearing located in the outer tub seal is bad. It takes very little play at this bearing to cause what you are describing.
