Repeated pushing between cube and crushed ice has cleared the dispenser back to cube ice. Indicator light changes but still only crushed ice dispensed. I tried unpluging the refrigerator to clear the problem but no luck.
Tag says I have a GLRS267ZCQ1 machine
That means that the evaporator fan system that releases the the ice cubes is not working.

Sorry, the solution was for ice cubes stuck inside, I had it opened on a different window, in your case either the switch is simply broken.
I know what the problem is, myGLRS267ZCB1 does the same thing. If you pull out the ice bin, you will see a brass colored control arm for the crusher blades. Look at the inside back of the freezer compartment. there is a hole in the back wall where this control arm fits. Inside this hole is a solenoid control that is supposed to lift the control arm when the cube button is pushed. this moves th blades so cubes don't get crushed. I have found for some reason the solenoid sticks at times and cubes are always crushed. This is probrably a manufacturing error. I have found by heating the solenoid by using a blowdryer thru the hole in the back wall, the solenoid will thaw and moisture is removed, freeing the solenoid. I never did find a permenant fix, I just deal with it from time to time.

I beg to disagree, having some 30 years in electronics I don't see how an evaporator fan is not allowing me to switch between ice cubes and crushed. Looking at the parts list I would think that the switch on BOARD-CONTROL (BOARD-SWITCH) is stuck.
