Hi there,
Does the laptop indicate any power?
does the LED turn on and stay on but you can't see anything on the screen?
Is there no power at all, No LED light turns on and everything is switched off?
Since you bought it April 2011 it's only been a month so there should still be warranty for your laptop. If you are comfortable enough try removing the memory sticks, the hard drive, the WLAN card the battery and try to plug it in the power outlet without those and check if it will turn on. Otherwise find your receipt and bring it back to the store "SM" where you bought it and have it checked by one of their technicians or possibly get it replaced.
Hope you find this helpful.
BTW: I'm also from the Philippines.
If you are getting an vertical lines on your screen then its a hardware problem would suggest you to get in touch with the vendor from whom you have purchased the laptop and they would tell you the best way to get the warranty from or get in touch with dell customer care and check out your warranty period.

Cracked displays are never coverd by normal warranty. Unless HP is aware of an issue on your model where this happens by itself, the service will not be coverd by warranty. You might want to check if you have any insurance that might cover it.
The LCD can be replaced, althogh it is usually quite costly(depending on the model). You can either send it in for service or do it yourself. If you dont have any experience with opening laptops I would recommend you send it in for service because of the weak plastic in the displayassembly that brake easily.
If you do want to replace it yourselfe I can find you the partnumber for the part. But im going to need the modelnumber from under the machine. It should look something like this AA111BB#CCC.
under warranty if it is a defect from manufacture or if you bought extended warranty from retailer, some policy's cover damage. Only covered if policy is still within time of purchase.
If it is not covered it will be cheaper to replace computer than repair.
Acer will help you, Acer is great on warranty issues.
Contact them and they will tell you where to send your laptop, the may even come home to you and collect it, then after repair bring it home to you.
