I've tried that, but the print cradle has jammed so far to the left you cannot unjam the cartridge. How do you get the front panel off to release the print cartridge?

Unplug the device and try to move the carriage with your hand ,but do not force to move it .if it does not moves just again plug in the wire and on the printer.and the carriage will move when the carriage comes out.just check out the cartridges that r they properly installed.

I have a HP Photosmart 475 now 6 years old no longer supported by HP The blue ink from the cartridge has leaked and I get very blue photos I have been told by Jessops I probably need a new print head. is...

The print haed is held in position with a locking lever and the ink cartridges are clipped into the printhead.
Yes you can purchase a new print head BUT the cost of a print head is expensive. I suggest you put your money towards a new and better printer, it may not cost mush more that a new printhead if you can get one.

I can not manually move the printer carriage on my HP Photosmart B210e printer

Might be service station jammed.Service station work is to clean the print heads, stores spitting ink init as we as capping the print heads to protect from the nozzle drying..After switching off the machine service station capping the print heads and arrest the carriage assm for protecting the print heads, in this condition carraige assm wont come out until its released by service station. Its required expert to release the service station, if you force to pull it will damages the print heads.. You justify what you can do for this issue...If you are capable do it...But care fully

Carriage Jam

Carraige rod is the rod that holds the cartridges and moves while printing on the paper and spreads ink on the paper and if this rod is jammed it is known as carraige jam.

Carriage jam

Unplug the power for about 5 min and then try again.
Make sure there is no paper or any other objects blocking the carraige (it's where the ink cartridges sit on).
Last resort would be to take it to a printer repair shop.

Print cartridge jamming

Don't despair! =) If you lubricate the metal rod with a Wd40 pen, it works like a champ. It only gets the lubricant where you need it, unlike a spray which you do not want to use in your printer. Have printed photos flawlessly after this so far, definitely worth trying. =)

Carraige jam

If you can move the cartridge carrier, move it all the way to the left, turn the printer off and then on again.

Your printer may not be parking the cartridge completely so check the area that the cartridge rests over when parked for a sponge or wiper that is out of place.

I've pulled broken light bulbs, paper clips among the many things that can cause the cartridge from parking in the rest stop.
