try to adjust Vs & Vsc within 5% of their spec on the power supply board when you notice the problem.

If the Video (Picture/Pix) is gone but you can hear the Audio (sound), then it could mean the YSUS PCB Assembly is gone/kaput/finish. Can replace the PCB, not repair the PCB due to timing circuitry involve. Cost maybe roughly $500 depending where you located. The PCB is located on the left hand side of your TV when you are facing the back (Back open). Might find 3-4 brown flex membrane connecting to the plasma panel. The PCB has a silver or black aluminum heatsink (big) on it.
Good Luck.

Plasma TVs have some characteristics of the older 'picture tube' (CRT) in that they use phosphor inside and a high voltage to excite it.
There may be an adjustment to compensate for loss of brightness by boosting the high voltage slightly that can be tweaked but the also share another CRT feature (or weakness); the phosphor losses the ability to emit light over time.
The latest sets have overcome this to some extent and new sets are predicted to remain active for 10 years.
If you are in North America, you might try calling Philips service (or emailing) to ask if there is a compensating adjustment in your set.
I don't have too much hope for help from them because Philips has sold all NA rights to a lousy Japanese electronics house called Funai and since the takeover, the quality of the Philips name has declined a good bit.
To avoid getting Funai gear, avoid the following brands:
Funai, Symphonic, Sylvania, Emerson, Aventura, Durabrand,
ESA, Magnavox, Insignia, Philips and Misakai
My past service experience with Funai has been negative.
