Absolutely the same thing! Just looking for an answer because it seems completely stuck now. Really hope you get an answer! Am looking for my manual now...

HI and thanks for that input. The machine is fixed now, it turned out that we had a five year warrantee on it so the service man was called for this one.The switch in the lid was replaced and it has been working fine. Repair man did say this is about the only fault these machines develop other than ones caused by overloading. I did have a look at that switch before he came and I think the average handyman could replace it without too much bother just make sure its unplugged etc.

can you tell me where the switch is I can't see it

5 beeps with the 3 temp lights flashing means lids not closed. or lid switch not working

i just fixed this problem. the magnet in the lid had come loose. I undid the two screws on the side of the lid put the magnet back where it should sit then i poured candle wax over it to hold it in place and working fine now.

where does the magnet sit and what does it look like ? I cannot see a magnet at all in the lid .

If no power and youve done the basic checks - there is a little glass fuse in the top of the machine. Disconect machine from power point then unsecrew the 2 screws and gently lift the control panel. the fuse is esily seen. Try replacing with e new fuse like I did.

Hi I have an Eziset 550 and am having difficulty with lint on my clothes. Have tried to remove the agitator, to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas? This m/c was left to me by my late father and I know it is only about 3 years old.

Thanks

I have an eziset 750. Same problem with not starting the cycle and three water temp lights on with beeping. Turns out it is the same warning that is given for having the lid open during operation. Found the lid switch and gave it a clean. Works now but expect the lid swtich will need replacing eventually.

Where do I find the lid switch? Ours doesn't have a catch or anything lid just opens by hand (top entry for clothes)

'beeping alarm starts with the three water temp lights flashing'..I would agree with lid switch not working. The manual says 5 beebs with temp lights flashing is from faulty lid switch.
I just had mine replaced.

'Lint problem' Have you lifted out the piece in the middle of the washing machine and cleaned the mesh? That is your lint catcher. It just pulls straight up and out.

To remove the agitator you need a 10mm socket with a couple of extensions.

My Simpson eziset 550 beeps as normal when I push any of the buttons but none of the display lights are working. There are no mechanical noises of it starting. the water is not flowing in

Faulty power switch or main control board: According to
1
, if none of the display lights are working and there are no mechanical noises, it's possible that either the power switch or the main control board is faulty and needs to be replaced. You may need a test meter and fault finding to determine which one is the problem.
Dead electronic controller: If there is absolutely no power at all on the control panel, the electronic controller may be dead, as suggested by
2
. You can try opening the top cover on the panel to see if there is any visible damage or loose connections.
Lid switch not closed: If the 3 water temp lights and the 5 beeps every 4 minutes are on, it means the lid switch is not closed, according to
3
. You can try closing the lid properly and see if it solves the problem.

Simpson eziset 550 stops at rinse cycle, light flashing

I had the same problem before, but removing the kink in drain hose does the trick. Maybe yours is more complicated but try it.

My Simpson eziset 800 washing machine will not start, I press power on then the button start and beeping alarms starts with the 3 water tap lights flashing, Have checked and clared filters and taps

When I had a problem with my simpson washer, with all 3 water temp lights blinking, it was a blockage in the pump, I emptied the washer and disconnected the host to the pump underneath, then cleared out the pump and put the hose back on, problem solved.

I have a Simpson Eziset 550 washing machine and it does not fill with water at the start of a wash - instead it will start to fill then stop and all three lights on the water temp gauge light up and start...

When mine had all 3 water temp lights blinking, it was a blocked pump, I emptied the washer, tilted it back, disconnected the hose from the pump (you will need towels) and clear out the pump, then put the hose back on.
