Yes and also possibly the low ohm resistors. You can get the PT53WX53 convergence kit which fits your model from www.tvrepairworld.com which has the 2 ICs and associated resistors plus the CD with repair instructions.

SOURCE: Replace IC Convergance chip in Panasonic PT-56HX41PF

Enter the tip of a pointed knife between the left side edges of the connector (circled in black in the attached pic) and gently tilt the knife away from the connector. Do the same on the right side. The connector should pop up.

We have a PT-47WX51CE panasonic cinemavision hdtv 1080i and the colour is off. We see separated mainly green and magenta and the picture is warped with some lines.

Hi,
All that mess in picture is due to failure of convergence output chips in this tv.
Replace convergence output ICs (two ICs) to solve picture problem. Required ICs are available in Part Store, click the link to have price info.
Thanks.

My panasonic pt51hx41e convergence will not line up

Clean the projection lenses with qtips and alcohol. Then try to use the convergence function. My blu was messed up on one side of the screen until I cleaned mine.

Cracked bulb or lamp?

There are bad solder connections on the Convergence Amp IC's. When you moved it , the connections that were loose are now disconnected. Resolder the pins on these IC's and you should be ready to watch TV again.

Convergence problem

If you cross reference this term, I think you'll find alot of helpful info on your problem:

Convergence amp ICs

These (there are probably two of them) are probably burned out, at least one of them. From what I see online in blogs and such, this repair can run several hundred dollars to have done professionally, but if you are qualified (or at least careful enough to learn how to do it SAFELY and CORRECTLY) you can do it youself for around $12 - $50, depending on what model part your set uses.

Hope this helps. I am about to embark on this same repair myself on my Panasonic PT47WX53G, so my best to you.

Make sure your yoke plugs are clean and no cold solder joints around them. Let me know? Do you have a scope?

Just bought a PANASONIC PT-47WX53G On ebay for what I thought was a steal. It was explained that somehow someone got into the service menu and messed something up with the convergence on the green gun....

You can try restoring to factory defaults, and you can try the manual convergence option. If the manual convergence fails to reset (as in, the crosshairs physically will not move), then the convergence board is bad, and will need to be replaced or repaired (if you are a good circuit solderer).
