Samsung LNS2651D turns on for a second then turns off

This problem is intermittent. I can see the lamps come on but do not get the screen that shows channel selection (HDMI in my set up)- screen stays black. If I try to get at the set up menu it will not show up. Sometime if I unplug the power it will come back and run fine. Other times if I fiddle with the input selection long enough it will come back. Any ideas on what needs to be replaced and where to get the parts?

SOURCE: samsung tv turning off by itself

I have the same problem of the set turning off and on by itself. There is a circuit in Samsung TVs that would shut it down if a very loud noise occurs in the program being watched, but I have not noticed that correlation. My problem is solved by vacuuming the back panels of the set. They do not seem to have any significant dust on them, but I think the vacuum sucks somewhat inside of the TV and does some good with the fan that is supposed to be cooling the bulb and the mirror. It seems to work for months on end and when the problem recurrs, I vacuum again.

It's simple. Your TV does not like you. Perhaps you need to speak kindly to it before you force it to watch BBC for hours. Buy it a scone.

The monitor screen shows the content of my laptop screen for the first 10 seconds and after, the monitor turns black

hi check your inverter board, the intermittent power is caused by a faulty component in the inverter.

Monitor goes blank after 3 seconds -Samsung SyncMaster 920NW

Could be a power issue. If it doesn't show anything at all then that may be the case. It may also be the display itself. It would be a costly repair so you might be better off finding a new monitor.

Monitor only stays on for 3 seconds

There is probably a bad capacitor within the monitor that will not allow the picture to "hold" in the on configuration. This will need to be replaced. You can send it back to Phillips, or 17" monitors are pretty cheap these days. I would suggest a Samsung or BenQ. They both carry 3yr warranties.
