My wife tried to connect to a friends wireless network(she had the correct access password). I have tried finding it through device manager , network and sharing center and the other regular places to check for it. I get a orange light when I switch to on. I have hit f8+FN( the button as I am on a laptop) no good. I then started on the driver hunt on the internet for the device which is an Atheros wireless adapter model number AR5BXB63. My wife's system had vista and was upgraded to WIN7 Pro. It's a 64 bit system. So I downloaded the windows version x64, I then downloaded the vista version in a last kinda prayer way and to no avail it also didn't work. I then took the laptop apart to make sure someone hadn't removed the actual adapter but its there laughing at me... please any help would be greatly appreciated. my email is [email protected] Thanks in advance for any help.
It could just be that the electronics in the wireless adapter has failed. Do bother with getting it repaired, much cheaper to replace it with a USB version.
