Disc Error/no disc messages

My problem is simple, the Player (T512) does not reconize any audio cd's at all it simply says "no disc" when they are inserted. DVD's load fine at first, the player reads them spins up, then spins back down and auto ejects the DVD, with the message "Disc Error". I opend up the player, and cleaned the lense, I started the player without it's cover and to me all mechanism's appear to function normal in the loading process. The only thing I've taken note of is that it seems that the player makes more noise the unsual when spinning up, a kinda humming sound that I dont think it has done prior to this problem. It should also be noted that this problem has increased from being a small problem where I had to reload the DVD/CD every 5th time or so.. to now .. where nothing will work at all. I have a feeling this is not something I can do anything about, but if anyone could confirm my worries, cheers Mort.

Hai there. I've got exactly the same problem with my T512. Some addition problem on my player: it is very sensitive for copied cd's. While playing it makes some cracking noise. I need to admit the disc is slightly damaged. But on other cheaper players it plays fine.

    I've got 2 more questions:
    - "Iceshard" did you manage to fix the problem??
    - Is it possible to upgrade the firmware of the player??

    Thanks a lot !!!

My Pioneer Auto CD Player has an Error 11 & 12 message, plays for a few minutes then the error message shows

the laser eye needs cleaning.....i actually just did mine today, just with a normal cleaning cd...if it doesnt work first time, smear a little nail polish remover on the cleaning disc, it works a treat........error 11 and 12 mean the laser cannot read disc properly......starts and stops depending on how much cleaning is required....

When i install cd it says error 6 on my clarion dxz465mp

Clarion Audio error codes:

Error Codes:

Error 1 Battery inside CD Changer needs to be replaced.

Error 2 CD error message. Mechanism has as eject problem or takes a long time to select CD.

Error 3 CD error message. The pick-up is out of focus during play mode due to scratches on the disc or contamination.

Error 4 Connection problem. Reconnect the data cable.

Error 5 CD error message. Could not read correct data due to CD ROM.

Error 6 CD error message. Could not read data from disc because it is upside-down.

Error 8 Tape Drive system defective. Eating tape or something wrong with the drive system.

Error 9 Weak RF. Try alternate frequency

Even though it says error 6 is an upside down cd, it just means the disc cant be read. usualy means the laser is dirty, out of adjustment, or not working.

You can try other brands of audio cdr but it sounds like your laser is on it's way out. Some find cdrw's still work after cdr's have stopped being recognised.

Error 5

Your CD player thinks the CD is in Upside down. Basically it cannot read the disc. You need to run a CD laser Lens cleaner disc to hopefully get it back reading the Discs good again. Otherwise you will nee to take it apart and clean it all yourself manually.
