Plasma and LCD TV sets are prone to having capacitors in the power supply section fail. This is the most likely cause for the probem you describe. When capacitors fail your will commonly see one or more of the following symptoms.

Google your model and make and add "blink codes" to the end of it. The blinks are a self-diagnostic way of telling you what is wrong. After you find out what the blink code means, go from there. Most tvs do this when a pico fuse, capacitor or convergence IC has a problem.
