SC 555 Pressure roller
fusing lamp

When the fusing unit is not
running in the Ready condition,
the pressure roller fusing lamp
keeps ON with full power for
100 consecutive seconds.

Replace the fusing unit.

This means the pressure roler thermistor is out of position or defective. Take out the fuser, the thermistor is a little pad that sits against the lower roller. Check that it is clean and that it is touching the roller, this fault is telling you that the press roller heat lamp stayed active for 100 seconds and the code is produced to prevent damage to the machine. I hope this helps.

Hi. The SC220 issue is a known one on the 3800c. It's a firmware related problem, and the code, which points to the synchronizing detector boards, is erroneous. You can read more about it, and possible ways to avoid it here.
Updating the firmware to get rid of this problem is not an easy job.

Service Code Error SC555. This machine is not connected to the network. There is not an obvious paper jam. Can you describe a possible fix. Carolann

SC 555 is the main motor error. the main motor needs replacing. its the only solution. the main motor fits at the back of the machine. if you open the back cover, you will be able to see it.

On the screen where it says "Call for service," there should be an error code (starting with "SC" and ending with a 3-digit number). This code can tell you what is wrong with your machine -- what code is displayed?

Does turning the machine off (with the main, orange power switch) and then back on clear the error message?

This is a firmware error code. You are going to need a service tech to reload the firmware. Make sure they use the latest version with any and all updates included.

I have problem with aficio 3800c it is showing

SC 560 Zero Cross Error

When the power switch is turned on. The machine checks how many Zero-cross signals are generated during 500 ms. If the number of Zero-cross signals is more than 66 or less than 45 and the condition is detected more than 10 times this code is shown.

Cause is electrical noise in the supply from the power cord.
Solution

Change to another power wall socket
Change power cord
Replace main PSU (Power Supply Unit)
