I purchased a Verizon BB9930 and now using it in Canada. I was told it is unlocked for all network use but am experiencing problems with it working on the Bell net work even after trying to adjust the network settings. 3G is showing but it will not receive or make a call. Can the phone actually works on the Bell HSPA / CDMA network here in Canada or is the BB9930 limited to US network?

have you removed the battery and put it back in.
his will reboot the software.
also make sure your battery is up to par, the battery in a blackberry when they get used for a while need to be changed, your phone is very graphic intensive and needs a very good battery to run without problems. replace the battery and see what happens.
SOURCE: Need to know how to get the internet and email
Internet: needs network/data access that bb browser can use, through cell provider.
email: needs bb enterprise server, if your workplace/company provides bb server. Else your cellular provider would need to provide bb email server.
My storm is thru Vodafone Australia, I have web and email. You would need to be with a cellular provider who has a deal with blackberry to provide internet and email - have you looked up US Cellular's bb support yet? http://www.uscc.com/uscellular/SilverStream/Pages/x_page.html?p=bb_cust_serv
Check if Internet/email are part of the phone service agreement you have, or you might need to pay extra to have them.

First, download and install the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager software from: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22&dl=DA5FB46338C8C0DCB1039F7898184FC5
Once installed, connect your BlackBerry to your computer via the USB sync cable. Open Desktop Manager, and click the Application Loader. On the right, you will see Update your device software. Click the Start Button, and if your BlackBerry is not on the latest Handheld Software, an update will appear. Select the update, and run the install. Be sure to select the option that backs up and restores your data. Once started, do not shut down your computer, or disconnect the USB sync cable as this could damage the device.
Once completed, your BlackBerry will restart and you will have the latest version available. This version has been known to correct various issues like this.
If the issue is still present, then it could be hardware related, and may need to be repaired or replaced. I would then suggest contacting your Provider for Hardware Support.
SOURCE: how to get blackberry cdma by telus to work with
It is not possible to make a blackberry made for Telus to work on the Verizon network. Verizon will NOT activate any phone other than one sold for the Verizon network.
