Messages in yahoo inbox disappearing

At home, I am using Outlook 2007 and Outlook connector to access my yahoo email account. At random times, all messages in my Yahoo inbox will just disappear. I can see all of the messages in Outlook 2007 at home, but if I use a computer else where, i.e. at work, I cannot see my messages because the are not in the yahoo inbox. I want them to stay in my yahoo inbox.

How can access my mails from my work computer

If you're at a friend's house or out of town and need to check your email for your job or business it can really be a hassle.
You have to either go home or to the office.
Maybe you even call someone and have them check it for you.
There's no need to do that any more. Just follow these steps to check your email from any computer.
Log on to a web-based Internet service such as hotmail.com, excite.com, yahoo.com or gmail.com.
Set up an email account.
hese email accounts are free and will allow you to check your email from any computer.
Choose a user name and password for your account.
Make sure to choose ones that are easy to remember.
Use any computer and log on to the Internet service provider and go to the home page of the email service that you selected.
Enter your user name and password then check your email.
Set up a POP account through the web-based email service if you use Microsoft Outlook or have your email set up through your company.
For example, if you're using Yahoo for your web based email service then you would go to "Options" and select "Mail Plus."
You can then sign up for this program for a small monthly fee.
Sign on to your web-based email service and choose "Retrieve POP mail" in your inbox.
This will pull all the mail from your Outlook or business account and drop it in to your inbox.

I get this message on my computer that says 'Your Microsoft Exchange Server is Unavailable." How do I make it available?

By the sounds of it you are using Outlook 2007 or 2010
to download your email from sites like hotmail and Yahoo you need POP3 not Exchange. Exchange is a Microsoft Email server used by companies.

to remove the exchange section in outlook you need to go to the "Configuration Panel" then click on "Mail" in there you will have a profile called "Outlook" click on "Email acounts" and remove the item that says "Exchange" then click "Add " tick the box "Manually selct settings" select POP3 and add the details for your email as per their instructions

I cannot get my email to be directed to my iphone

Email account setup with Mail is easy. If you're setting up an email account for the first time on iPhone or iPod touch, simply touch the Mail icon on the Home screen. If you're adding an additional account with software version 2.0 or later, touch the Settings icon on the Home screen, select Mail, Contacts, Calendars and select Add Account.

If you're setting up a Microsoft Exchange, MobileMe, Gmail, Yahoo! or AOL account, touch the icons for those services on the Add Account screen and enter your account information. If you're setting up an email account from another provider, select Other. In software version 2.0 or later, Mail can automatically setup many popular POP and IMAP email accounts using just your email address and password.1 As Mail looks up settings that match your email account you may see a note appear that will describe any limitations you may experience in using your email account. If Mail cannot find the settings needed to setup your email account, refer to the documentation from your email provider on how to manually setup an email account.

Syncing email account settings to iPhone or iPod touch
You use iTunes to sync your email account setttings to iPhone or iPod touch. iTunes supports Mail on a Mac, and Microsoft Outlook (2007 or 2003) and Outlook Express on a PC. See article "Syncing iPhone and iPod touch with your computer" for further details.

Note: Syncing email account settings to iPhone or iPod touch copies the email account setup, not the messages themselves. Whether the messages in your inbox appear on both iPhone or iPod touch and your computer depends on the type of email account you have and how it’s configured. You may need to enter your password on the device after syncing account settings.

After i have updated to yahoo mail plus, and set the POP to my outlook, all the incoming messages are downloaded only to the outlook inbox. I want to make sure I can see my inbox messages BOTH on outlook...

Go to your Yahoo mail account (on Yahoo.com). Choose Options then Mail Options. From there choose POP & Forwarding. There should be an option to turn off Download & Delete. That should allow you to download a copy to Outlook while retaining the original on Yahoo.

How to manage two different email ids in microsoft outlook?

Considerations Before Accessing Multiple Accounts

Before using Outlook to access more than one email account there are some caveats to this type of access.

• All email will be delivered to one inbox unless another Outlook Data File is created for the account and a rule created to move the message to the data file. If storing all in email in one data file is acceptable then a rule can be created to move the email to a folder to keep accounts separate.

• When creating or replying to an email you need to select which account the email should be sent from. This is accomplished by selecting Accounts in the mail compose windows and selecting the account to use.

Steps for Setting Up an Additional Email Account:

1. Tools
2. Email Accounts
3. Select Add a new email account click Next
4. Select POP3
5. Fill in Your Name
6. Fill in Email address for account
7. Enter User Name for account
8. Enter Password for account - check Remember password if you don’t want to login each time you send and receive email.
9. Enter Incoming Mail Server (POP3) – Information provided by ISP
10. Enter Outgoing Mail Service (SMTP) – Information provided by ISP

If this is all the information the ISP requires then click Test Account Settings to determine if everything is setup correctly. If additional information is required follow the steps below. If Outlook can perform a test send/receive with no errors then you are finished! Click Next and then Finished.

If the test fails, check your settings to make sure everything is entered correctly. Pay close attention to the username and password fields as this is usually where the problem occurs.

Additional Information

If the ISP requires outgoing authentication follow these steps:

1. Click on More Settings
2. Click on Outgoing Server tab
3. Check the box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
4. Make sure the Use same settings as my incoming settings is selected
5. If this is all of the required information click OK and then Test Account Settings

If the ISP requires that Server Port number needs to be changed:

1. Click on More Settings
2. Click Advanced Tab
3. Change the Incoming or Outgoing Port Number to the number provided by ISP
4. Click on OK and then Test Account Settings
