Loud noise(not jet whirring sound) during rinse & spin cycles.

Inner drum appears to be hitting outer drum creating loud noise and shaking of the washer. Polypropylene lip on inner drum is grooved. Washer is level and the load is not out of balance.

    violent shaking during spin cycle

we have the same problem but only when we have a large load in. Probably exceeding load capacity. No problems if I reduce the load speed.

My kenmore 417 wahser making too much noise, it looks like the inner tub hitting the outer plastic housing. How can I fix it?

Have you tried moving the clothes around in the drum to balance the drum BEFORE you was them? If that works, you have solved the problem! Most people forget that when cloth gets wet it gets heavy so leaving the clothes unevenly placed in the drum dry will make a real problem when they get wet!

When it spins, the washer makes a loud noise. it rattles. Also when it is doing the rinse cycle I can hear a vibration/rattling noise.

I'm sorry to say that tis is potentially very bad news. the problem you describe is almost certainly because the main bearing on the drum is worn out, allowing the inner drum to "flop about".
To test your bearings, open the door of the machine and by putting a little lifting pressure on the top of the inner drum, attempt to rock the stainless steel inner drum up and down.
The outer drum is mounted on springs and shock absorbers, so it will rock about (and it should do this) but the inner drum should not move up and down in relation to the outer drum. If the bearings are bad enough then symptoms will typically include:
A clonking noise as you lift and release the inner drum (this is the inner drum rattling on its bearings and or hitting the outer drum)
You will have become aware of the spin cycle becoming far noisier recently and possibly even a grinding crunching noise when the machine spins
The drum may feel like something is crunching or stopping you turning it when you spin it by hand with the door open
A leak from under the machine, which you will probably be able to trace to the back of the machine, coming from the centre of the drum. This is the result of the failing bearing allowing water to escape through the seal at the rear

The washer shakes uncontrollably during the spin cycle also a loud banging noise is heard during the spin cycle.....

If front load check the inner drum If it is loose at all you have a lot of problem . Very expensive.

Washer making loud noise and wont spin

Check and see if the inner drum is loose and floppy.if it is, it's likely the bearings have collapsed, and require replacement...If the drum feels stiff and tight, it could be that something is jammed between the inner and outer drums. Both situations could be costly...Get quotes....Good luck...Nomess

Kenmore 90 series loud whirring/howling noise during spin cycle

Sounds like you have a broken motor coupler. They are inexpensive. Can be a little tough to replace but I can walk you through it. You can purchase a coupler here.
