I am hooking up a Panasonic - Flat-Panel Plasma HDTV TH-50PX80U to a receiver. The sound is good. The problem is the video. It's in black and white and sort of grainy picture

Check your connections. it sounds ( looks ) like you may have connected the video cables incorrectly. the inputs and outputs are color coded, even if the cables you are using are not you can still use them.

You have no brightness? You have sound or not? I am willing to help but need a little more information---if no bright and or no sound it could be the power supply board which can look fine but be bad.
You when looked at power board did not see any puffed up caps?
these are really puffed up but some will be only slightly so---take a good look as the tops must be perfectly flat.
U can't hook the satelite signal to the PLaystation 2.The satelite hook up to the main in the Antana input.The playstation 2 must use the RCA cable came with the Playstation 2 hook up in any Audio,Video in put in the the tv.Tune in what input u hook up like 1,2,3,extra..use ur Playstation 2.
