How to create an album

I want to use thumbnails in the software provided with my new Lumix (Photo Impressions 5, Photo Base 4.5, Photo Fun Studio) to sort a large number of photos, and then save them as an album. I can create an album but not be able to sort the photos, or sort the photos but not save them as an album. Can anyone help this novice? scrappy

I can't help you with those software packages, but I can point you to a much simpler, nicer, and faster one (that's free with no adware or spyware)... www.preclick.com.

I have this camera, but installation CD with Photo Fun Studio viewer is lost. But I need Photo Fun Studio viewer. Where I can download this software.

Difficult to find anything, but perhaps you try to download and instal an update of PhotofunSTUDIO via this link?

Not sure you can install this, if you don't have a registration, but perhaps the type and serial number is enough.

Link to PhotofunSTUDIO update.

How do you delete photos from Sansa e200 MP3 Player?

If you go into Windows Media Player, you have to change the Library option from Music to Photos and THEN go into the Sync tab - should now display photos instead of music.

Alternatively, you can double-click My Computer, double-click the icon of the Sansa, and find the images or picture folder - you may have to change your usb mode to msc in order to view this folder (don't forget to change it back later, or not all of your files will show up when you want them to). ONLY delete image files - if you delete system files, your mp3 player will become unusable.

Or, you can follow the method reccomended by your manual - the full user's manual is available from Sanidsk's website:
Delete Photos and Video
The photos are stored in 2 locations on your Sansa…My Album and
Thumbnails. The instructions below for deleting photos and video from your
player were created using Windows XP with Windows Media Player 11.

5) Highlight and delete the photos stored in My Computer\Sansa

7 ways to organize your e-mail

Create an online photo albumBecause Windows Live Photos makes it so easy to upload, edit, store, and share photos, one of the first tasks most of us do is create a photo album of our favorite images. Some people create photo blogs that are more about images than text and upload photos from all over—posting the latest images from cell phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), webcams, and scanners and showing the world what's happening in their lives.
photo-collage.jpgWhat makes a good photo album? The answer is, just about anything—any topic, person, place, or event that you want to share. You might create a photo album to show the 10 finest photos from your best friend's wedding shower. Or you might create a photo album about the weekend you took your son to camp. Or you might simply have one photo album for each of your best friends, or your pets. Whatever the topic of the album, the idea is to group photos in such a way that the folks viewing them will understand how they're connected. You might even simply do a "day-in-the-life" photo album that shows images you captured throughout a single day.
If you don't have your own Windows Live account, go to http://windowslive.com and sign up today! It's free, it's easy, and it’s one convenient place online to share photos, files, e-mail, and see what’s new with your social network.
You can stitch photos together, remove red-eye, crop, and tag photos on your PC with Windows Live Photo Gallery, then upload your albums to your Windows Live Photos page to share online with others. You can also add your favorite photos on your profile so your “What’s New” feed updates to keep friends and family up to date on your latest adventures.
When you're ready to create a photo album, follow these steps:
  1. Go to http://photos.live.com.
  2. Click Create an album.
  3. In the Name box, type the name of your album.
  4. In the Share box, set permissions for those you would like to see your album. You can make your albums public so everyone can see them, share them just with the friends in your Windows Live network, select specific people, or keep them just for yourself.
  5. Click Next.
  6. There are several ways to create your photo album.
Click Select Photos from My Computer to browse for a picture anywhere on your computer.
    -Or-
Click Add from an Existing Album to add photos from an album you've already created and uploaded.
    -Or-
Drag a picture from anyplace on your computer into the Drop photos here box. As soon as you add a photo, the name of the box disappears. To add another photo, drag it to the Drop More Photos here and upload when you're done box. The photo will move to the Drop photos here box
add-photos.jpg When you've added your pictures, select the photos you want to Upload, and that's it! Your album is ready to share.
You and those you've given permissions can choose to view your album as a slideshow or thumbnails.
thumbnails.jpg Show your pictures in a thumbnail view.
slideshow.jpg Display your album as a slideshow.
When you’re done, you can use the Options menu in the upper right to add themes, publish your album in an e-mail, and more.
That's it! Now you can invite everyone you know to come see all your favorite photos. Have fun!

Panasonic Lumix Simple Viewer & Photofun Studio Viewer software

If you google your camera model, you will find a location to download software for this camera. The Panasonic Support site is a good starting place..

Kodak has a free photo viewing an touchup software downloadable so you will use their printing service. Another is Picaso by Adobe. Both of these are easier and better than those supplied with camersa. Even Microsoft XP or Vista computer come with a good viewer. Go to Start/Programs/Microsoft Viewer(or some such).

Downloading Images

Downloading images from a digital camera can be very easy if you keep these basic steps in mind. After loading the PhotoMax software on your computer: 1. Make sure that both the camera and computer are turned off. 2. Confirm that the camera has adequate power (using the AC adapter is recommended; otherwise, make sure that there are fresh batteries in the camera). 3. Plug the serial cable that came with your camera into the serial output of the camera. 4. Plug the wide end of the serial cable into the COM port (serial connection) of the computer. 5. Turn the camera on and start the computer. 6. Launch the PhotoMax software (double-click the icon) from the desktop. 7. Click on Get Photo. 8. Click on Album or Camera. 9. Select Twain device from the Acquire From box and click OK. 10. Select your camera from the Select Source box. 11. Click the Acquire icon: (Thumbnails will be displayed). 12. Select images you wish to save from the thumbnails and click on Get Photos. Your images will now be saved to the album you choose.

Computer "hangs up" when displaying the Polaroid Album in PhotoMAX

This error or system hang-up is usually caused by: 1. the camera driver software attempting to read a corrupted photo; or 2. there are too many photo thumbnails stored in the PhotoMAX temporary storage area. In either case, the problem can be corrected by manually deleting the Fun! Digital 320 camera thumbnails from the Polaroid Album (using the Windows Explorer or My Computer icons). Follow these steps to delete the Fun! Digital 320 temporary files: Step 1 -- Locate the temporary photo files If you are familiar with Windows Explorer, simply browse directly to: C:\Program Files\Polaroid\PhotoMAX SE\Digital 320 If you are new to browsing the file system, follow these steps: 1. Double-click on the My Computer icon on the desktop. 2. Double-click on the C: drive. 3. Double-click on the Program Files folder. 4. Double-click on the Polaroid folder. 5. Double-click on the PhotoMAX SE folder. 6. Double-click on the Digital 320 folder. Step 2 -- Delete the temporary photo files Inside the Digital 320 folder, you will see many files, most of which will be bitmap image files. All of the bitmap files that start with dsc_ (example: dsc_005.bmp) must be deleted. To delete the files, you can either drag them into the Recycle Bin, or highlight each file by single-clicking on it and pressing the Delete key on the keyboard. To select multiple files at once, hold down the Shift key on the keyboard as you click on them, then press Delete. IMPORTANT: Do not delete the following files from the Digital 320 folder: * 320popup.rtf * DscDrv_Polaroid.dll * Polaroid Album.exe
