Some photo paper jammed in the printer, in the fuser; I was finally able to get out the big wad of melted paper in the fuser by unscrewing and taking apart the fuser but now the fuser roller has big dents in it and it still says "unable to print, do routine maintenance" I did the maintanence but I still can't print and get the same unable to print message. What can I do so I can print?
Dear Computer_tea,
If the fuser is damaged as you say, you will need to replace it. The unit will not print correctly and the image quality will be very poor.
The fuser unit is part of the maintenance kit, and unless you replace the maintenance kit, it will still say the same. You will need to replace the kit and now for the bad news.
The maintenance kit is going to cost you over $500.
You will need to consider very carefully befor you go out to buy a kit as these printers can be purchased for around $900 new.

I saw a fuser for $80 on ebay. Would that be enough to buy and fix the problem if I replace the fuser? Or do I have to buy the whole maintenance kit? Thanks very much.
