SBG900 forgot password cant login

Lockedout of modem cant remember password

    whenever i click login, a new page never loads. It simply keeps loading the same login page. Its like i'm hitting refresh

Reset the modem from the back, you will need a needle or something, wait until it turns on. Then go to http://192.168.100.1 type on user: *admin* pass: (the HFC MAC ID as password you will find it at the back or at the bottom of the modem) ex: 0015a3e9570f. Remember is case sensitive, good luck. :)

    Wow, took about three hours... But I found it, pretty simple. You must be plugged in to the modem to login. YOU CANNOT LOGIN VIA WIRELESS.

No nonsense solution ---
1- Ensure that you are hardwired to modem with an ethernet or USB cable.
2- Ensure that modem is powered on and "settled in" for a minute or so.
3- Use the pinhole at the top of back plate to reset.
4- Use a wire or needle to depress reset button for 30 seconds and release.
5- Allow modem lights to "settle in" again for a minute or so.
6- Enter "admin" for user ID - and "motorola" for password. [NO QUOTES]
7- User ID and password fields are case sensitive.
[Lower case in this instance]
8- Click Login and now you are talking to the modem.

I'm trying to reset my Motorola SBG900 to add a password

all gear like this have 2 PW
(the config web page, and then WIFI settings)
the gear IP login page us UN; PW> that?
and wifi ,SSID ,WPA2, and PW.
not told what fails, start a topic showing evidence of failure
or just say wifi, if is wifi pw.
or RTM the manual on all routers cover all this and are free
and google finds them all if you try.
but hark no router told only the MODEM.
no kidding google it.

How do I find my wep key? I cant remember it and cant get online wireless with out. I did go to http://192.168.0.1/login.asp but I cant seem to log in there. Please help.

Try to access 192.168.0.1 once again. Try to use "admin" for the username and "motorola" for the password. If "motorola" doesn't work, try "password".

Cant login to my sbg900, using admin for login but not recognising password

Try resetting the router. You can find a small hole with a button inside it at the back of the modem. Use a pin or a paperclip to press it for 5-10 seconds so that it will be restored to the factory settings.

I cant log in with my username and password

Reset the router to factory defaults by putting in a push-in in the small hold at the back of the router. You should then be able to login using the default password. Default password should be in the user manual.

I don't remember the password for my sbg900 motorola router and i need to connect one of my laptops to the network. How do I get the security key. I read another blog that mentioned pressing the reset...

Disconnect the Coax cable from the modem and restart it. Once the "Receive" light begins flashing reboot your computer. If the modem and the computer are communicating, the computer will get a 192.168.100.11 IP address (192.168.0.x with the SBG900) from the cable modem. Shut down your computer. Connect the Coax cable to the cable modem, restart it, and wait for the modem to sync up with the cable company. Once the modem is in sync (Power, Receive, Send, On-line are all illuminated) restart the computer. Once the computer has restarted check the IP address. The computer should have a valid IP address from the cable company. Computers attached to the SBG900 will always get a private (192.168.0.x) address regardless of whether or not the SBG900 is registered on the cable system.

Forgot password for 2wire modem. the 1000sw.

well beneath the 2 wire system password field you will find a link which says "i forgot my password". click on it and it will show you the hint for the password. if still you cant remember the password then click on the link which says "i still cant remember my password". it will show you a 20 digit number. you will have to contact tech support for 2 wire and give them this number. they will give you a temporary password by which you can login in the 2 wire page.

I cant reset my Motorola SBG900!

Ok in the back of this unit or bottom there is a reset button or hole that you need a pin needle to access. Press it in for 15sec and let it reboot. Once it reboots, open a web page and type in 192.168.100.1 or 192.168.0.1 This will bring up a log in page. The login is admin and the password is motorola.

Cant login to router

When in doubt double check your work. You held the reset button down on the back of the router for long enough for the lights to go out then start blinking again? Then you went to 192.168.100.1 in your browser and tried admin for your login name and motorola for your password? If you did all of that and it's still won't accept your login try to power the router off for at least a minute by pulling the power cord and make sure you clear your browser cache before trying to access the default gateway address in your browser again.
