Alarm for speed cameras or red light camers on my tom tom one

How do i set my tom tom one v3 gps to get a sound warning evry time i approach a speed or red light camera the picture comes up but i want a alarm sound as well

    i have facing the same problem i update the tom tom one from tomtom site. after that i experienced they didnt warn near any safety cameras. how can i fix this problem , more over if u could me tell that where i get the safety cameras alert poi bqz i check from tom tom site but they will ask for the money

I have a tom tom one the box is orange i dont know
Either the volume is low or muted. You need to scroll through the menu and check sounds. There may well be a speaker with a red cross through it in your menu which will indicate it is muted. The volume control is pound by tapping in the corner of the screen-I think its bottom right. When you switch on you tomtom it may well say the version number. Does it speak for general directions? If it does and the above does not solve anything then look for the setting which lets you choose "audible alerts" or just alerts as you should have an option of getting the spoken warning which you want.

Icons and what do they mean
Speed cameras usually are located either at intersections or along roadways. Many red light camera models used at traffic intersections also function as speed cameras. These speed cameras will mail you a speeding citation if the camera thinks that you are speeding. Your GPS navigator is warning you about nearby speed cameras. It displays red as you approach the speed camera location where you could get an automatic electronic ticket if you are speeding.

Tom tom 520 insalled safety cameras not working
You should first go to preferences and make sure that "speed cameras" are activated in "show points of inetrest on map" . Once they are activated , go to "Manage Points Of Interest" agian , this is found in preferences. Once in there , select "Warn When Near POI". You should now be able to "see' and "hear" the warnings. If it still doesnt work then it's possible you have some corrupted files in the camera warning data , so try a fresh download. Please be sure you have a backup of all your data before you mess about . if you don't already ahve a backup on your PC , recommend you do it now.

Speed cameras
Same problem, the speed camera and red light icons appear on the screen but without any audible warning tone.

Any ideas on how to get the warning tone back, as it was originally working but after a few tomtom updates its gone.

Cant get Speed Cams Displayed as Point of Interest. Tom tom Home keeps telling me Required Parameter Device Code missing...... What should I do!
I had tomtom speedcameras on my map until i subscribed, then it did an update and they all dissaperd? (i cant see them on the map any more) but in the settings they are set to warn me 15 secs before and it just pops up when im near a camera! so it still works it just looks diffrent.

I am not sure, but if you look when it beeps, it also has a small icon that appears on the top left side of a stoplight with what looks like a camera on it. It might be warning you that a traffic light ticketing camera is near. At stoplights and stop signs in certain cities, they will send a ticket through the mail if you run a red light for instance and they find you because the camera takes a picture of your plates.

Tom Tom One
I have the same problem and my TomTom is "brand new". This unit is obviously dysfunctional and the company should take these back and submit a full refund. I tried notifying the TomTom Company to no avail. I will start mass emails to warn people about this company
