Cant get on wireless forgot ip for linksys wrt54g

The wireless router issues an IP address to your all your computers.
The ISP issues an IP address to your cable modem which is connected to your wireless router and the wireless router re-issues a local IP addresses to all the computers on your local network so all your computers on your network can access the Internet and to each other cpmputer.

To access the router's web-based setup page using Mac, click here. Step 1:
Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer.
Step 2:
Go to the Address bar and enter your router's IP address ("192.168.1.1" is the default IP of most Linksys routers) then press [Enter].

Step 3:
A new window will prompt for a User name and Password. Leave the User name field blank then enter your router's password ("admin" is the default password), then click OK.

NOTE : For WRP400, the default IP address would be "192.168.15.1" and if you place the router behind a primary router with the IP address of "192.168.15.1", then the router will automatically assume a new default IP address, "192.168.16.1".

The router's IP address can be changed by:

1. Running the router's setup CD.

2. Changing it on the router's web-based setup page.
If you forgot the router's IP address you can:

1. Check the router's IP address. For instructions, click here.

2. Press the Reset button at the back of the router for 30 seconds.

Different ISPs require different configurations. If you have a Linksys router, such as the WRT54G, there are 2 ways on how you can configure it, either by running the Setup CD or by doing manual configuration. This particular router has its own web utility and you can access it by typing its IP addres on your web browser, ex. http://192.168.1.1. By default, it doesn’t have any username and its password is admin.

Once you’re inside the setup page, you can configure now the router for DHCP, PPPoE or STATIC IP settings. For DSL customers using a PPPoE account, some modem needs to be configured into BRIDGE MODE first and then the router will be set to PPPoE with the correct username and password (given by ISP). If your a DHCP account, modem doesn’t require any configuration. It will work with its default setting and the router would be set to DHCP. Once done, powercycle your devices to establish internet connection.

1.connect port 1 from the Aztech to the Linksys WRT54G Wan"
Login to the linksys and release/ renew ip
2. once IP is obtained then you should be able to connect.

go to start then click run adn type cmd then press enter, on the command prompt type ipconfig/all then press enter then look for gateway IP address, that will be your router's address unless you have a static IP set up on your machine.

log into the WRT54G wireless router and ensure that you do not have it set up for only handing out 4 IP addresses also check the laptop to see if it is set to have a DHCP or static IP address, if it has a static IP and your network is dynamic then this is why it wont connect.

"f you have forgot the default password of your linksys WRT54G router than remember that the default password for WRT54G is user name = not required /give any
password = admin
and the default access IP of WRT54G is 192.168.1.1"

Of course resetting values you have to recreate network configuration this tip can help.

is your office camera connected to the wrt54g? do you know the ip address of your camera? the port number will come from your camera. If the camera is connecting to the wrt54g, you can open the router configuration page and input your settings there. Call linksys technical support for that. Please check if the router needed IP address?
- if yes? ( goto Network Settings and add the IP address.
- if not? ( obtained you Network Settings do not input IP address.

Double check also if your Router is properly configured?
