If the remote control still does not work, reset the remote control by removing the batteries. Then press and hold the POWER BUTTON for 30 seconds. Insert the new batteries and press TV and POWER to turn "On" the television.
Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, please visit this site. One among the posts has details about it. Surf the site in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" view. It will make surf easier. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
1) clean the contacts batteries. 2) change by new batteries 3) resolder wires connectors batteries 4) Open the remote control, and clean the keypads very well with special spray contact R. Shack 5) Otherwise you must go to the repair shop TV, FOR Fix it GOd bless you
You need to isolate the problem.
1) Unplug the set for a few seconds then plug it in. 2) Operate the TV with the control/buttonson the TV. (Channels etc) If the TV operates correctly then do the following.
3) Try operating with the remote unit. If the problem returns then it's the remote failing.
Sometime remotes can be reset. Try this; Step 1- Pull the batteries out of the remote and leave them out until Step 4. Step 2- Press and release each and every button one at a time on the remote control until every button has been pressed and released at least once! Step 3- If your remote has slide switches, you must move the switch to each position then repeat the button pushing in Step 2. (When you're done, be sure to put the slide switch in the correct position to operate the unit the remote came with!) Step 4- Put the batteries back into the remote, being very careful to install them correctly. New batteries should be used if you're not sure about the old ones.
Try it again. If the problem is still there then the remote is bad.
Since this is a newTV you should use your warranty to replace any bad parts.
ok, let's try the simplest things first....
unplug the tv from the wall, and remove the batteries from the remote. wait about 5 or 10 minutes. reinstall the batteries and plug the tv back in. try it again. actually since you said you tried another remote, you can skip removing the batteries from the remote.
if it still does it, try unplugging the tv overnight. if it still doesn't work right then, you have a processor problem, and need to have it looked at by a service tech.
