I need a manual for an Asus X54H-SO180V

This is controlled by the menu of the monitor. There is a series of push buttons on the monitor that you use to get to the menu.

you can check if the dc power jack if loose or not by inserting the charger and try to feel if it loose or not, if yes, probably you need to some replacement.

If they are dead pixels, and there is nothing you can do. Get it replaced. If it is a stuck pixel, then you can gently rub it or wait till is unfreezes. I would contact ASUS or vendor being that it's new.
