why not, do the 50k mile tranny full flush with new filter, now.
maybe you can save it from doom.
check levels
check for not pink ATF, if brown , or black , change it now.
if full of metal dust, big cry.

COULD BE THE BRAKE PAD WEAR INDICATOR AS THE PADS MIGHT BE CLOSE FOR REPLACEMENT. ALSO A ROCK CAUGHT IN BRAKE/CALIPER AREA CAN CAUSE THE NOISE AS WELL.

Normally when this happen you must exchange the following parts:
ball joints +lower control arm +upper control arm+upper ball joint+arm bushing+ bar link+sway bar.

Of course maybe the coil spring. Since the cars are exposed to dust, and bad care you must proceed according. sincerely.

Bad Fan... either the CPU Fan or the Power Supply Fan or the Case Fan. If the PC is older than 4 years it is probably the Power Supply.

you may be pulling to fast. causing slack that a faster speed will pick up

I'd go with CV joint, bearig would hum.. does the sound get faster as you drive (turn) faster ??

Have the valve clearances checked, it could be tappits noise.....Has the vehicle ever been over heated? How's the power output from the engine, has it changed since you've had the vehicle? Does the sound disappear completely, or is the knocking sped up so it's faster and becomes hidden?

I think that it will be a good idea for you to have a technician listen to the engine, to make sure that you don't have a serious problem. Get two or three opinions
