Hoover Nextra HNWF 3135 door will not lock

it is seperate heaters for wash and dry and unlikely to be connected with blocked filter tho you should check filter regularly. take top off. on manifold running across top you will see stats. one of these at least is resettable by presssing a small knob in middle and if it has gone you will hear a slight click. then check dryer manifole for build up of lint as pooir air flow can cause stat to pop. for wash heating, start by checking continuity of the wash heater located at the bottom of the tub

I think your door interlock needs replacing. Turn off the power undo the front of the door gasket and that will get you to the lock mechanism. They're about £20 to replace.

Thanks for using FixYa. The start and pre-wash usually flash due to a clogged drain hose or the water pump. You’ll need to drain the water out of the base and also check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine). If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. It has a timer circuit that locks the door with a selenoid. It has a sprig that pulls the safety latch back off of the latch. Either it isn't turning the power off or the spring is broken or too dirty with soap and wont work right. Try pulling the power and see if that works. If not got to take front cover off and check it out.
