More than likely the power cord/charger is dead or the battery is. Bring it to a tech store and see if you can test out a new cord/charger and battery...

I had the same problem and have commented on another post, the answer turned out to be for me was that I had been putting the charger cable in upside down the blackberry symbol on the lead should face up...because I had done it the wrong way, the little metal tab inside the housing on the playbook had moved slightly stopping me from putting it in the right way, I used a very thin nailfile and a magnify glass and carefully moved it down a touch allowing the charger to go in properly, so after a year of having a " dead " playbook it started to charge.......looking on line I see there has been a problem with the battery housing, mine was easily solved once I new the lead has to be used symbol side up and realigning the tab,...

Playbook totally drained power cannot charge

The problem may be with your charger, Micro usb cable or your micro usb port. The blackberry playbook rapid charger uses the little brass buttons to charge and will help you diagnose if the problem is with the playbook battery or if the problem is with the micro usb connection.

Blackberry tablet no power

You need a Blackberry charger. Other chargers might fit in the slot, but won't charge your device. You have to use (buy) a fast charger if your tablet is completely discharged and won't turn on. They're about £20 but worth it to keep using your Playbook.

1. I cannot open the attachments (pdf, excel, etc..), stat to dowload and after inform me that the file is not present on memory. 2. I cannot send email from playbook, and sometimes when BB 9800 is...

Ok, for your first problem, I couldn't open a couple of file types on the playbook at first either. Go to the app world and download the free app called "airbrowser." It lets you do various things such as delete files, and allowed me to find and open the documents I wanted.

As for the email issue, I would suggest retrying the bridge. Go to the bluetooth connections screen on your torch and delete the playbook, and do the same on the playbook to delete the torch. Then start from scratch reconnecting via the BB bridge app. It solved a few issues on my playbook as well.

The playbook is stuck and won't start not broken just in same mode no activity. Won't restart

If you can't get it shut down, then try leaving it on but unplugged until the battery is completely dead. Hopefully when it is plugged back in and charged for a few minutes it should restart normally. If this doesn't work, then you should contact Blackberry Tech Support for your area, they are usually quite good to deal with, but I suggest contacting them by phone as email can be cumbersome and take several days to make progress. Their phone number for your country should be on the website. Obviously your playbook is still under warranty as it wasn't released more than a year ago.

UNABLE TO READ OLD MESSAGES STORED IN THE SMARTPHONE IN THE PLAYBOOK.

On my playbook when I scroll down the list of email messages and get to a certain point it just downloads more older messages from the phone. If this isn't happening on your playbook, then you should try rebridging the devices. Go to the bluetooth connections screens on both the phone and the playbook and delete the other device from the device list. Then go to the BB bridge app and reconnect them. Hopefully that works.
