LG 50PC3D PLASMA WILL NOT TURN ON

THE RED LIGHT GOES GREEN FLASHS TWICE OR THREE TIMES THEN GOES TO RED AGAIN I TRIED TO UNPLUD IT WAIT THREE MINUTES NO LUCK I TRIED UNPLUGGING IT AND HOLDING THE ON BUTTTON ONE MUNUTE STLL NO LUCK
ANY IDEAS WOULD BE GREAT THANKS

    Same problem. Heard a popping sound and the screen went blank. Now there is a slight clicking heard by the top vent in the back when the power button is pressed and again after the power-on light blinks green 3 times and goes back to red.

    when i turn it on it turns it's self off after 15 attempts then it stays on

Unplug power cord- safety first!
open backcover
check powersupply- top center right is p.s.
top left side of powersupply you'll see 5 capacitor 3300uF 10V.
see any pop up on top? replace it All with same rate or 16v is O.K.
do not use temperature rate 75c. Use 105C.
if you know how to solder. you save $300 least!

My Zenith plasma TV blinks green 4 times then goes red, No picture. None of the Capasitors are blown.
I had AWFUL customer service. (Sherry is DREADFUL her # is 1-877-543-8325 she is in"executive services". Ask to speak to her directly...if you would like ZERO help.)

They WILL NOT extend the warranty, even though they know there is a defect with this AND other models. Zenith name on the front...LG guts in the inside.
Ours turns on, screen black and then clicks three times and then turns back off.

LG 32" Plasma TV power-on problem
Hello,

Your power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics’ and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors.These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable,and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
