I am having the same problem myself, on my Philips 32 in LCD Widescreen. It wasn't showing any issues, prior to the picture and sound going out. I turned off the tv and unplugged it from the wall for about an hour. When I turned it back on I still received the flashing red LED light in 7 flahing intervals. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Five buck solution; If you have any tek skills at all and are feeling adventurous; UNPLUG THE POWER, remove the back panel; You will be faced with the mainboard. In the lower right quadrant you will see two small capacitors, like tiny yellowish coke cans. If these are bulging, there lies your problem. These must be replaced. If you have no soldering skills, take only the mainboard to a fixit shop and have them solder in the two capacitors easily found on line. No guarantee's but worth a try

Philips 42PF9630A/32 Plasma TV RED led blinking 7 times

Are there any blown caps on the PSB-power supply board. Most sets have sammy boards and they used very shotty caps. If there are no visual clues being a poped cap at the top (X) they simply often do vaporize and dry out. The YSUS-Main and the 2 Y buffer boards control the picture OSD-on screen display. Your not getting any of that. So power supply is where you start first. The YBU-upper and the YBL-lower control the upper and lower OSD the Ysus main control both of them. Usually if you have one in the door you have to replace all 3. But not always. If you were to replace any of the boards I would replace the YSUS-Main, or get the board reworked at a pc repair shop that does board level test and repai. Its more cost effective.

I have a phillips 42pf7220a/37 and 7 blink led

The Ymain Board is out if you have the back of the tv exposed disconnect the ymain board and then plug in the tv set and turn it on. the light should remain green and no longer flash. If this happens the Y main and upper and lower buffer boards should be replaced

Philips 42PF7220A/37 Chassis Number BP2.3U

I think its something on the picture frame board or on the line output board. I would sway to the line output simply because I think but not sure that error code is linked to the line output stage plus when you unplugged the cable the voltage seems within parameters. Good luck.

Most likely the YSCAN UPPER board and/or YSCAN LOWER Board also gone. Your new YSUS board may damage again if you don't replace the bad YSCAN boards. Try to replace the three boards together and then to verify which boards are bad one by one. Good luck.

Philips 42PF7220A/37 42" Plasma TV

After you remove the back cover inspect the power supply board for swollen or bulging capacitors. Pull and check any capacitors that you suspect to be swollen. Next, look for a sticker in the upper right hand side of the TV set. Use the values you find on the sticker to calibrate the voltages on the power supply board.
