If you've got an auto idle function you'll also have a switch somewhere to shut it off, so look for that first.
Engine surging is almost always a problem somewhere in either the air cleaner or the carb. Check the air cleaner, if it's not dirty take the bowl off the carb and look for dirt in the bottom.

go to an electric supply store and let them know it is a 20 amp plug. The big box stores only have a few selections of plugs
I had the same generator and had to modify the plug to make it fit correctly

Go to an Electric supply store and tell them it is a 20 amp plug. They should be able to get the correct plug.

Hello, If your generator has sat for a long time, the residual magnetism in the field coil may have dissipated completely this will cause the generator to produce no electricity. If this is the case there is a fix that is so simple it will amaze you by how easy it is to get it running properly again.
