SOURCE: I lost my safety key

I just found out I had lost my key too. I have a Merit 710T. I called the company and they directed me to their website.

http://store.horizonfitness.com/c-33-safety-keys.aspx

On the page there is a link to a chart which will tell you what key is right for your model. They are cheap, only @ $13. Not sure about S&H though. I've also heard that if the key is a magnet you MIGHT be able to use another magnet to complete the circuit. I'm going to try this when I get home to tide me over till I get my next check and order a new key.

Check your walking belt, if the belt is dry. You have to lube it. Maybe you have to replace the walking belt

Does the belt need to be oil merit treadmill 725t

LUBE THE DECK BELT, this produce shut down by lack of maintenance in according with the instruction manual. Maybe you have a deck belt worn.

2) Lube the rollers bearing too in according with the instruction manual.

3) Test the drive belt, and see if need replace or adjust .

sincerely. God bless you.

Merit 725t treadmill turns on but the motor is struggling with no weight on the machine

THIS SOUNDS LIKE A DEAD MOTOR, TRY TROUBLESHOOTING THE MOTOR BY REMOVING THE MOTOR COVER AND REMOVING THE BELTS FROM THE MOTOR THEN TRY COMMANDING THE MOTOR TO ROTATE (USING THE CONTROL BOARD) IF IT STILL SLOACHES THEN THE MOTOR IS INDEED DEFFECTIVE.

Merit 725T. The treadmill has gone into a "10 degree" incline mode on its own, and will not respond to the control panel to reduce the incline.

Treadmill stopped and lights started blinking and beeping sounds started

Sounds like the safety tether is not making contact with the switch make sure it firmly in place. Sometimes these switches will mis-align then the upper console would have to be removed usually held on by phillips screws and can be seen out of place
