I'm sorry for the difficulties you're experiencing as the i.LINK connection from the Camcorder is not recognized by two different Computers. Since the issue persists with two computers, it seems that the issue is with the Camcorder itself.
I suggest that you try resetting the Camcorder and check if that helps. To reset the Camcorder, please press the reset button behind the LCD screen using a sharp pointed object. Also make sure that the Camcorder is turned ON when pressing the reset button. You can locate the RESET button from the below picture.
If the issue persists after resetting, service may be required. However, please
click hear to view the troubleshooting steps recommended by Sony. I have reviewed it and found that you have already performed all these steps. However, please check whether you missed something.
Thanks for understanding. Please let me know if you require any clarifications.
Your solution did not work, mainly because I omitted to tell you that the previous line on the screen read Black Ink. Went to **** Smith and the boy behind the counter found it immediately. Put new Black Ink in and it told me replace Magenta Ink, when I put that in it told me Cyan was low. When I replaced that, low and behold it worked. Thank you for your efforts, it was not your fault, but mine that it didn't work.
