I have purchased PNY laptop DDR333 memory and it is failing. For warranty, PNY has you register the product to receive warranty, however when registering if some unknown period of time has been exceeded since original purchase, PNY does not honor the so called Lifetime Warranty.
PNY is no longer a repuitable company to buy anything from. PNY sells false advertizing and out right lies.
Has anyone else had this problem?
SAME HERE
Ram installed about 2 years ago I think 2x4gb ddr3 sodimms
Failing after a year started as blue screens and not recognized short time after.
Without receipt = no warranty
Got it as a gift = no warranty
Oem = no warranty
Purchase with gift card and misplace receipt = no warranty
House burn down with all paperwork = no warranty
Not good at keeping records =- no warranty
I have been in contact with PNY and can you tell they have told me without the receipt they can do nothing for me?
COMPLETE WAISTE of the word warranty.
and yes there support people get smart with you and quote other companies warranties and state see they do they same thing!
WAY TO STAND OUT!
Why even have a lifetime warranty, just call it a "prove it" warranty?

It's fairly simple.

A couple things to remember:
Remove power.
Ground yourself on the computer case.
Make sure the notche(s) line up.
SOURCE: Poor Warranty
I'm not sure which company you ordered from. I have always recommended EVGA due to they outstanding customer support and LIFETIME
