Ice maker is over flowing and seems to be not working. it is a 1998 model whirlpool gold side by side as far as i know frist time to be hooked up
I know it may sound crazy but what i do is buy a whole new kit for the box and pull the whole icemaker out and replace it. you will have lots of salvageable parts left over for the future. the reason i do this is a couple of parts will cost you as much as a whole new kit and guarantee you fix the part thats broken, the spare parts left over come in handy now and then, the new kit itself will have a warranty, the parts wont. it is lots quicker and easier to replace the whole maker than to take it apart and guess which thingy is at fault. i told you it was crazy sounding but hey, i'm a pro and this is what i do. mine was 68 dollars for two parts and 110 for the whole new kit. good luck
