Watch problem The part the has the numbers on it seems to be rotating clockwise. The six is where the eight is.

How to wind up an invicta

Unscrew the crown by turning it counter clockwise until the crown is free from the stem. Then turn it clockwise six times. After this step push the crown in and continue turning it clockwise until it is once again screwed back on to them stem. DO NOT SKIP THE LAST STEP because although the watch will operate in the winding position it no longer water proof. A simple drop of water in the stem would mean death for your watch. If you wear the watch everyday I suggest you wind it once or twice a month.

Why does the time stop after six to eight hours? Do I have to wind it often?

I'm guessing it's a Fully Automatic watch,which if worn all day should store enough 'kenetic energy'without manual winding!! You can buy watch winders on eBay that constantly move the watch when your not wearing it to keep it wound up!!

I'm looking for the manual instructions for my LANCASTER Watch 0346 I dont know how to adjust the date or knows about it

Pull out to the "winder" to the first click. this is to change the date. The second click is to change the time.

Changing the date - rotating the winder (if you were looking at it) in a clockwise directions changes the major decimal - the number on the left e.g. 0, 1, 2, 3. Rotating anticlockwise changes the lesser decimal - the number on the right e.g. 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

I have a Timex automatic with day and date. How do I set the day and date?

I often sell vintage Timex watches which have a day and date feature. Setting the day and date feature can be a little tricky - if not frusterating if you aren't familiar with how to do it since most of the original manuals that came with these are long gone!
I'll try to explain the process - please feel free to contact me if this doesn't make sense.
1. Pull out the crown on the right hand side of the watch.
2. Advance the crown so the time advances clockwise until the day is correct.
3. Rotate the crown so the time is going counter-clockwise (the opposite direction) until the date "clicks". (the day will click first, then the date).
4. Rotate the crown so the time is going clockwise again and the date will advance.
5. Continue this back and forth action of rotation until the date is correct.
6. Push in the crown and you're done!
I'm considering making a video of this process. Please let me know if this is something you would be interested in.

  • Pull the crown of the analog/date Cartier watch and rotate it clockwise or counterclockwise until you see the date advance in the display window at about 1 a.m.
  • 2 Use the quick date set method by rotating the crown counterclockwise after reaching 1 a.m. until the hands reach 7:30 p.m. Then again rotate the crown clockwise back to 1 a.m. Repeat the procedure until the correct date is displayed.
  • 3 Adjust the date forward or backward 12 hours if your Cartier watch changes the date at the noon hour.

    I need to know how to set my 8700 calibre watch

    Hi,here is a solution to help you out:
    1. Pull the crown out one click.
    A. Turn dial until function hand rests on "CAL"
    2. Pull dial out one more click (should be all the way out)
    A. hold down button "A" (top button) until the second hand completes one counter clockwise rotation (should be pointing at current month)
    B. Press "A" button a second time and the Day/Leap year hand will move.
    3. At this point spin the crown either backwards or forwards and watch as the Day/Leap year hand spins clockwise or counter-clockwise. The Date will adjust per each revolution.

    However,you still have every reason to own the manual of your wrist watch for future references,so follow the link below to download the manual of your wrist watch;

    How do i set the day of the week on my Invicta subaqua noma 6125?

    For Invicta chronographs to set the day you need to pull the crown out to position 3 (2nd click after releasing the crown/ furthest crown position/ same position to adjust time). You can only set the day by rotating the crown clockwise. Every 24 hours of clockwise rotation will move the day indicator forward 1 position (Mon>Tue, Tue>Wed, etc). If your watch is set one day ahead of the correct day (Its Tuesday but the watch displays Wednesday for example) you will need to rotate the crown clockwise through the entire remainder of the week in order to get to the correct day, you CANNOT rotate the crown counter-clockwise in order to move the indicator back a day.

    Stopped working and all digital figures displayed!

    If the display is not dim the battery is probably OK. Try removing the battery, test it anyway, and after a minute or two replace it (I'd use a new one anyway) and see if the problem is cleared. Sometimes just power cycling will "reboot" the watch. If that doesn't do it I'm afraid it will need to visit a Breitling service center.

    Hope this helps as it took me using the correct movement number on the url in the previous post (for Calibre 8700 the movement number is "E870").

    The watch stopped working

    The Tag Heur repair center says an automatic watch must go through an "initiation" process. They recommend winding manually 40 revolution of the crown clockwise. You must wear an automatic watch at least eight hours per day. Repat the initiation if the watch is not worn for 20 hours or so.
