There is power going into my avic x1r as the red light comes on. But i cant get it switched on nothing is happening. I think something at the back of the head unit may be faulty or damaged? Can anyone help?

does your headunit have a usb if so try and put the cd on a flash drive and try it that way

I have had quite a few problems with copied discs not reading and it is usually the disc's but however in your case if you know the discs work on another unit then perhaps a later version of the discs were tested when the unit was repaired and therefore your earlier discs would not be recognised by the unit, and therefore your unit needs to be reset and i'm afraid this is not something you can do yourself, speak to northolt and see if this is the case.

the changer is either incompatible or the changer wire has been intrnaly dammaged to much bending shorts them out as the wires are no more than alluminum foil enclosed in shrink wrap
