I charged my phone with my brother's sony ericsson charger and when plugged in said 'Charging Error' when phone was on. I unplugged it and turned the phone off, then put it to charge as I had no other chargers. It charged a little bit over night, then I decided to leave it off. When I got my own charger back I charged it and it worked fine. A week or so later my phone has been turning itself on and off (as if rebooting, it just stops) and now when it's turned itself off and on again it's come on saying 'Insert Sim Card' even though the sim's in the phone. The sim card isn't new and has worked in my phone for a couple of years at least. I tried taking the battery and sim card out and putting them back in but the same message comes up. I really need this phone for work as I don't have a landline, so if there's a solution it would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hello, Tammy, according to your explanation it looks like your device started problem after one week of charging error, if charging pin is same of your device and your brother there is no problem charging with it, for the charging error it must be happened when you didn't connect charger properly. try your device with another battery if possible, for the switching on and off it sounds me software issue, try to connect your device to pc suite and update firmware your problem will be solved. for further help post comments.

Hi,
Chances are that the chager adapter has malfunctioned. You need to get a new one.
Is the original battery it came with in the phone? and what carrier are you using? Sometimes this information will help

I think the battery came with the phone, I got the phone itslef second hand so I can't be sure, but I've not had any major issues with it. My charger works fine, I think it was my brothers that came up with the error with and he has a different phone, so my mistake there. The main issue is that it's not reading my sim card at all, even though its in correctly.
Thank you for your help, managed to get a cheap new phone and turns out the problem is with the sim card, which means I have a new one and am working on getting a new sim with my old number. :) Sorted.
