Very loud spin cycle; load is balanced and only hear loud noise during spin cycle. It sounds like a plane is taking off. What is the problem, and how can it be fixed? Thanks.
Most likely it is the spin tube bearing worn. Reguires some know how and special tools. Requires a major dismantle of the machine and usally I did these repairs in the shop. Bearing will eventually sieze over use and time. Labor will probably exceed the value of the machine.

The washer has 2 standard metric bearings, a 6005 and a 6006. Its a couple hours worth of work to disassemble the entire washer and replace them

old duets have nut on rear pulley that becomes loose. remove rear panel and tighten nut. check while spinning by hand if pop is felt. if it rotates smoothly then you may need new shocks on tub

Remove washer cabinet (easy to remove)and check that "base pads" (there are 3 pads, located under the main tub)are not worn. In case they are worn (even one of them), you should replce them all. Good luck !!

not nesseccarrily your pump, possible you have a rear bearing going bad, which will sound as if a helicopter is coming through your laundry room. ( noisy pump can be the issue , honestly a better and cheapre problem to have) in order to determine if its apump problem you can remove the lower access panel and unplug the pump then start the spinn cycle, if it still loud the pumpms not hte issue.
