SOURCE: I have Craftsman 17" Weedwacker and need fuel lines

Hey jncsurf, I had to buy fuel lines last week. I called the local sears parts store, and gave them the model number. They had a rather generic bag with the correct diameter lines. Just cut to the approximate length.
But now I have a problem: I didn't note which lines went where when I pulled the lines off. Could you tell me where does the line from the primer bulb go: top or bottom barb on the carb? Thanx.

SOURCE: Need diagram for fuel lines on craftsman chainsaw

There is two sizes of line. I see the large one goes to the large port on the primer button and then to the fuel tank. The small one goes from the primer button to the carb. The problem is there are two hose connections on the carb. I believe one is a vent, but I am not sure what one it is. I have a 36cc 2-cycle model 358.352161

SOURCE: craftsman 28cc gas weedeater gas line connections

The longest, and sometimes smaller in diameter of the two fuel lines, goes from the carburetor to the bottom of the tank. Leave enough slack in this line so that the filter that attaches to the end will rest comfortably at the bottom of the tank.

The other fuel line goes from the primer bulb to just inside the tank, (about an inch). make sure that you get the right size fuel lines. The plastic coupling goes on the end of this line, inside the tank. This keeps the line from pulling out of the tank.

(HINT): When feeding the lines through the tank holes, cut the lines at an angle. They will feed much easier into the holes. You can than cut them off square, once you know that you have enough to work with.

If you need further assistance, just let me know.

SOURCE: Diagram of fuel line for Craftsman 16" chainsaw

Your saw is a Poulan. Try converting the cc to a model number. A 2.2cc Craftsman is often a Poulan model 2200. go to this link and find something that appears the same under (POULAN-WEED-EATER).
http://www.ordertree.com/cms/illustrated-parts-list/9788.html
The IPL will help. Pay attention to the year there is a different area for older saws.
For a current saw Craftsman should have something available.

I am missing my hose from my primer bulb on my craftsman 7 hp snowblower

Small engine primers that I've seen don't connect to the fuel line. They operate by sucking and pushing gasoline that's already in the carburetor reservoir into the throat of the carburetor via a small port that is built into the carburetor housing. Recommendation: Next time you replace something, see how it was connected in the first place.

I need the fuel line routing diagram for a Craftsman Model No. 358.791510 Weedwacker 32cc/1.9 cu.in. 2-cycle

The fuel line in the tank connects to the nipple. It then goes into the small hole in the tank and then the fuel line from the carb connects to the nipple. This line is the line that is attached to the body of the carb, not near the plate.

Model no.358791072 fuel lines were rotted.I need a diagram of the proper order

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.
The fuel line WITHOUT a strainer will go from the tank to the OUTSIDE primber bulb connection then from the primer bulb center connection to the carb. Item 7 this link comes with the diagrams:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Craftsman-Parts/Grass-trimmer-weed-wacker-Parts/Model-358791072/0247/1503820/P0808034/00002?blt=06&prst=0&shdMod=358791072

There are several you tube videos here on replacing fuel lines:
(do not delete) utube.png
Something to note... inside the tank there is a fuel filter/strainer. Make sure to replace that fuel line also. The connection from the strainer will connect straight to the carb fuel mainfold connection. The center connection of the primer bulb will go straight to the carb fuel manifold.

Fuel bulb is not bringing in fuel when pushed

The larger line connects to the primer and returns fuel to tank. The smaller line has the fuel filter connected to it in the tank and connects to the small fitting on the side of carb.
Sounds like your problem is in the carb. You need to look your model up in Sears Parts because some models require replacing the entire carb.

Fuel Lines - 25cc Craftman weedwacker

Your Craftsman Trimmer/weedwacker:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getModel!retrieve.pd?modelNumber=358795591+&pathTaken=partSearch

Best Poulan Engine Match (probably real manufacturer):
http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/PWE/BC2400-Gas-Trimmer-Type-6/75.BC2400-Gas-Trimmer-Type-6.1.59.1.html

My decisions are being driven by my experience with Poulan chainsaws. Small hose in tank (long enough to reach all corners), filter on bottom, connects to lowest connection on carburetor. Small hose on upper carburetor connection to small fitting on primer. Large hose from large connection on primer through largest tank hole, roughly mid tank long. nothing on bottom. I suggest you leave the 2 connections on the carburetor long enough they can be swapped (just in case) then try it. if no go swap them.

Typical fuel system and a suggestion or two:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r3706813-2_cycle_fuel_system_repair

This is how I would configure it if a chainsaw, doubtful they would do something completely different. In defense of Jerry, he knows how it should be done, clarity of instruction could use some help. Good Luck. HTH

The smaller line that has the fuel filer on it in the tank goes to the stem on the lower part. The larger line that just terminates shortly inside tank goes to the stem on the top of the carb with the bulb.

GAS LINE PROBLEM

Hi this is the way it should go: 1 from the filter in the tank to the bottom of the carby,2 from the top of the carby to the inlet on the primer,3 from the outlet on the primer back to the tank as this is the return line nothing goes onto it.
