Rubbish, that's a link to Wondershare and the good people in their tech support dept now acknowledge their app CANNOT deal with an Android hard drive, because a PC does not see it as a drive and so it cannot be scanned by recovery software programs
So there is no solution?? I hate my tablet now!!!! :'( I guess there is nothing else to do than cry above my permanently deleted files... :(((((

Then, select the notification (open the notification drawer by pulling down on the status bar) that says USB cable connected and follow the steps to mount your SD Card. At this point, the Tab should appear as a device/driver in Finder. If not, try connecting them to the same network and try something like On Air from the Market to connect over-the-air.
Since you are using an Android, you don't have to use anything like iTunes to transfer music and pictures. Simply copy them onto a folder on the SD card and then browse to them on the Tab using My Files and open them in whatever app you use. If you would prefer a proper syncing arrangement, try the free DoubleTwist app and corresponding Mac application to connect your device.

Hey there,
In order ot hard reset your Samsung Galaxy Tab you need to perform the following steps:
Be aware that this will erase everything!
1. Turn the device off
2. while the device is turned off press and hold the volume up button and the power button
3. release the power button when you see the samsung logo appear. (Do not let go of the volume up button until you see the recovery screen)
4. use the volume button to naviagte through the menu until you find an option titled Wipe data / Factory reset
5. once you fin that option, highlight it and press the home button.
6. press the volume up button to continue
Your galaxy tab will now start the hard reset process, do not touch anything until it is complete
