your model # appears to be in complete. if you have the two strand type located behind the drum, you can buy a restring kit. will have direcions with part. take model # and order at repairclinic.com
Depends when the dryer was made, older models had the element at the front behind the front panel.
More recent models all have the element located at the rear of the dryer..

Probably due to the age of the dryer, and continous use, especially if it has been used on high heat settings, also the continuous action of clothes turning and thigs like zips and buttons will contribute to wearing away the enamel.
