I dropped my SAMSUNG SCH-u740 in the toilet. Tried to dry it up with heat. The following day everything looked normal but the phone is out of service (it is showing OFFLINE MODE). The menu is working OK. How do I get it back to "online mode" or have the service back?
When water enters into your mobile it leaves tiny slat particles after it is dried.so the components on the motherboard are blocked by these salts so it is recommended to clean the mother board with isoparaffin solutions and then you can try your luck (or) you can let the pros do it take your phone to the service centre.

Maybe the phone is locked. return it from where you bought it. They should be the to fix it for you.

You can try a couple of things to try and save it. Phones do not like water. If you are mechanically inclined, take the phones rear cover and front covers off. Take the internal parts and put them on the dash of your car all afternoon. If you cant take apart try this or you can put the phone in the oven (no joke) at a real low setting for a while. You don't have much time to dry it out before it gets corroded so do this right away. If it doesn't work you can always trade it in for another phone.

I have the same problem but this happened without any exposure to water. Bell Mobility and Samsung are being, in my opinion, rude and stubborn about it. I ahve tried a few things (reset etc) but no luck.
my cell phone is 9300 nokia so plz if anyone know how to turn it from offline to normal plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
