Aparently your mp3 player does work but it sounds like your having trouble with the head-set. I recomend purchasing a new set of ear-phones as the small wires that connect to your ear-buds are FAMOUS for breaking!

Hi, Try using a different pair of earphones from a friend. See if there is a differense. Wiggle the connection abit. It could be a bad wire in the earphone. Hope that helps.

I have 2 different mp3 players that have been used in the car now I can't use the earphones as no sound comes out of them. They work fine in the car but I can't use them with earphones now.

If you used bluetooth to connect in the car, you may have to go back to the settings menu and reconfigure for audio jack output. If you used a direct plugin connection, try plugging your computer speakers in to the players and playing through them. If that works, your earphones may be bad.

Left side of earphone jack won't work. I have tried more than one headset.

Sounds like a bad headphone jack. Contact Apple at 1-800-APL-CARE.

Low and bad quality sound by headphone port

sounds like an internal problem
like a bad connection
if you have the skill, you could pull it apart and resolder the parts around the earphone output jack
hope this helps!

I need Help!! Plz Help Me!!!

The phones are probably not reaching the bottom of the connection where the MP3 is told to stop sending sound to the speaker.

Test with other phones.

If the problem persists, a firmware update would be a good idea.

Mp3 player problem

it might just be the way the song is configured. try listening to a different song, by a different artist. if that doesn't work, than i don't know how to help.

Earphone plugin

to all three it may be that your earphones aren't working! try it on another audio product you know... if it doesn't work get new earphones!

if not it may be the audio format... try changing it to a format the X20 can read! (mp3 and wma should work)

if its neither you're out of luck. the socket is probably the problem. if its in warranty you might get lucky and they send it to be repaired. if not really bad luck there are few specialised stores with the knowledge to repair an iriver...
