Besides the possibility of high volume listening levels , what are the loads ( in ohms) connected to the speaker outputs?
Do they match with what the amp says?

Are the speaker wires firmly attached at both ends?

Your Denon receiver may be going into overload, which comes from playing it too long, and too loud. Try reducing the volume to 1/2 your normal level. If you still have issues or questions, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

If you are running your Denon close to it's maximum power output, also known as clipping, when a louder program material comes along, often containing more bass content, the amplifier has no more power(the calculation is P=EI, or power equals voltage times current(measured in amps), which all basically means, your amplifier does not have the capability to produce more output. As this is all happening, there are thermal sensors, near the output components, measuring heat. When the receiver gets too hot, it simply shuts down to prevent damage. I could go on, but the main point is, you will need an amplifier with, at the very least, 3 times the power, which will give you 6db of gain. I can explain it more if you'd like to visit my website.

My AVR-E400 sub woffer not working through the Denton system

AVR-E400 has an RCA subwoofer output. This is a line level signal that must be connected to an ACTIVE subwoffer (has its own power amplifier) Also the source must contain subwoffer signal (5.1, 7.1, 9.1 surround sound etc) You will not get subwoffer signal from a stereo source such as audio CD, non-dolby type TV etc. Cheers, Don.

My yamaha rxv595a keeps on shutting itself off when im watching movies as soon that it gets loud it shuts off but its not even that loud how do i fix this problem i tried the ohms switch in the back and it...

That is a safety switch in most receivers. When something gets too loud it cannot give the load off to the speakers and shuts off to protect itself. This can mean that the receivers getting old, or that you might need to split the job. You might need an stereo amplifier to split the job. Check the cables and speakers. Recievers can only give so much to so many speakers at so much sound. That is what the whatts are for. The more whatts the better, the lesser whatts, the lesser speakers its going to be able to handle at high volumes.

Receiver shuts off abruptly when loud sounds are heard.

Are they new speakers you are using? some receivers have a overload seting so you don't mess up or blow anything, sometimes this can interfear with your music, etc..

Start up it gets to receiver on the displayit shuts off and Power indicator starts fashion red to green

Having too loud sound cannot damage the unit, the loud maximum sound is design for that unit, when its brand new one or 2 years old its okey. But when 2 to 3 or more years when voluming the maximum the it create a vibration that cause the "solder crack" and results intermittent sound goes on, goes off, that is your problem. You open the unit and got to supply section reheat or resolder the resistor, capacitor diode, transistor and most of all switching IC. when finish, go to audio section, do what u did in the supply section.Bear in mind not tosolder it causes trouble. When reheat all the solder, your unit is good as new.

My Onkyo Receiver TX 601 is turning itself off

Several things can cause this: Loud signal passages can momentarily draw high currents at the mains, especially if you have unit plugged into power stripe with other equipment. Or if unit is plugged into isolation transformer, current draw may exceed output of transformer. Too many speakers hooked to output or if one is bad (partially shorted due to overheating)

Receiver shuts down after loud bang

You said Unit is enclosed!! Does that mean it is inside something? Receivers & Amps need to have a clearance above them so air can circulate, otherwise you'll have an overheating problem. You also might have some of your wires crossed which will cause the Amp to shut down. Look at all your connections and make sure they're correct, including speaker wires.
