Have you attempted to recalibrate the touch screen?

Since you can still use the navigational buttons,
    From the main menu:

    1. Click the "Settings" button. It is the button at the center bottom with the DS on it.

    2. Then click the "Touch Screen" button. That is the one with the Yellow Crosshair on it.

After that, proceed to calibrate your touch screen.

Let me know if that does not work.

Ds top screen turns white then shuts off.

Hi,
the cables need to be inserted Fully And squarely/evenly.
Also ensure The Tabs are locked Down correctly.
If none of this Works, you may have a blown On-Board Fuse.
I believe these Are Known As F1 And F2.

My ds touch screen doesnt want to work

it can be a connection come loose inside the ds. theres a ribbon that is held in by a lil black plastic slide that pushes under the ribbon which clamps it in to place which means then pushes it against the connection. an it might have simply came out and now the screen has come on but the "touch" part of it wont work. i know this as i fixed my own on my ds. its very easy to fix if you know what your doing.

Nintendo DS touch screen not working properly

Turn the ds on without a game in it and go to the settings icon (looks like a tiny ds) on the bottom middle of the screen then go to the far right yellow icon and it will re-calibrate the touch screen and let you know if calibration was a success.

The touch pad part of the bottom screen isn't working. My son got water on it and now the touch part isn't working. How can I fix it?

The screen wiring connector has water in it. You can take it apart and let it air dry by a fan for a couple of day. Don't put a hairdryer on it as it will hurt the board. Slow drying with air.! 50/50 chance it will work. also water could be in the connection for the bottom screen.

DS Lite touch screen

You'll need a tri-wing screwdriver, a small cross head screwdriver a new touch screen and a lot of patience.

1) Remove the screws from the botom case, 3 tri-wing, 3 cross head and the battery cover and battery.

2) Carefully split the bottom case and remove.

3) Open the clip that clamps the touchscreen cable from the back of the connector with a small screwdriver, just carefully lever up the back edge.

4) Carefully part the botom screen from the touchscreen.

5) Attach the new touchscreen to the bottom screen.

6) Re attach the ribbon cable to the clip.

7) Carefully refit the bottom case taking care not to break the power switch.

8) Re fit the screws.
