I had the same problem, have just spoken to BT (helpline is 0808 1006554) and they advised this is how you re-link the base and parent unit. 1. Switch both units off 2. On the base unit press volume up (+) while turning on the unit. The word "registration" should appear on the display. 3. Then on the parent unit, press the power on and then as soon as all the lights come on, take your finger off the power button and press the volume up (^). The word "registration" should appear on the display and then the units should link. It's a bit of a fiddle getting the parent unit to re-register and they both need to say "registration" at the same time, but we got it after several attempts, and now they are working fine.
This indicates the camera is not linked to the parent unit. Hold down the button on the camera until the light around the on/off switch flashes green. It is now linked to the parent unit.
Sounds like the units need to be paired. Start with all units off. Then turn on one of the parent units. Press and hold the menu button until it beeps. Quickly turn on the nursery unit and press and hold the button on the nursery unit that has the parent unit icon below it. After a couple of seconds the units will pair. Repeat this process with the other parent unit.
