Try updating your DVD firmware (located at the support website from dell) and see if it fixes the problem. I believe, i-Tunes causes a conflict between your dvd rom drive. You can check it here at the microsoft website support.microsoft.com/kb/314060
PowerBook G4 is at least a five-year-old machine at this point. A DVD drive can **** in lots of dust in five years. Try hooking up to an external DVD drive. If it plays the same discs with no problem, you need a cleaning or replacement. Frankly, an external DVD drive is cheaper than replacing your internal drive.
Please install the drivers of your computer, the chipset,vga, audio driver. if all of this driver are installed and did not video did not sounds, maybe you need a player. install the mega codec player and play DVD on this player.
