Mitsubishi tv model wd-62531 less than 2 years old

Today out of the blue my tv stopped working. It was on then all of a sudden "click" the tv turned off and a red light is constantly on on the front panel. I try turning it on and the green light comes on I hear a few seconds of audio (black screen) and again "click" red light. It's really driving me mad because this tv isn't that old to be having this problem.

HELP!!!! [email protected]

It sounds to me like your bulb has burned out. Look behind your TV for where the bulb housing is and pull the bulb out to check if it's burned out or not. You'll know when you look at it if it's toast.

I turn on my Mitsubishi WD-73833 TV and it turns itself off

Lessing of brightness on a DLP set is a sign of imminent bulb failure.

A new bulb is in order.

My Mitsubishi wd-62531 has a yellow hue over half of the screen. What do i need to do to fix it?

Not a cleaning issue.

The lamp shines into a OPTICAL LIGHT ENGINE, which has a series of lens and baffles---blue is the first part of the engine to get that light and heat---in your case the blue area is damaged from the heat----minus blue equals yellow.

The entire engine would have to be replaced--not a cheap part--Google the model number with "light engine" to get an idea of cost.

May be time to either use it as is or ?

Mitsubishi WD-62531 Replaced lamp 2 weeks ago. Red light flashing again. Same problem but the lamp is fine. Sound but no picture.

You have either a bad ballast (it powers the lamp) or a bad DMD board. Either one of those will result in a no lamp fire issue. Have a technician look at it...

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62531, it is almost three years old and has gone through 5 bulb. Is there something I can do to make this bulb last longer? Is there something that I can check that may be causing it...

The biggest enemy of bulbs like that is heat. Make sure the fans are running and are clean. Make sure the fan stays on for a while when the unit is turned off. Other than that there is little you can do without adding a fan or other modifications.
