I have only had my Galxay 7 Tablet a couple of months and it is already starting to just turn off while in use and I have to hold the power button for 1 minute or so in order that it will reset. Is this a common problem or should I be sending it back to manufacture now?I have only had my Galxay 7 Tablet a couple of months and it is already starting to just turn off while in use and I have to hold the power button for 1 minute or so in order that it will reset. Hello Doris, either your Kindle battery needs recharging or worst case; it is not rechargeable anymore. How old is it? I'd contact Amazon right away, they may have a 'fix'. Good luck.
Check that the charging port pins are not bent or damaged or corroded use a small needle to clean each individual groove.
Replace the charger, suggest Staples or Walmart for the source.
Could fall out (if your laptop is a little 'aged' and missing the securing clips!)
It's likely that your sudden loss of power has caused a operating system corruption causing it to not boot anymore.
If the laptop isn't powering on at all it's likely to be a hardware problem. Try leaving it on charge for an hour or so un-touched, or take it to a repair-man.
If you can at least power it on my first suggestion would be to try loading Windows in Safe Mode (tap the F8 key just before the Windows logo displays). Try and back-up any important files and restore your computer using any disks the manufactor supplied when you bought it.
I have the same problem and when I send it to be checked by toshiba technicians they told me that the motherboard is not working anymore. If you could find the price of the motherboard let me know?
Let the battery go all the way dead. You may have to adjust the settings in your bios so that the laptop will stay on until the battery goes completely dead. Then charge the battery. Do this a few times if it does not fix the problem you do need a new battery.
