I have had the same problem. I removed the heater element and checked the resistance with my multimeter and got the reading of 26.4Ohms which sees ok. I then removed the printed circuit board and found that a joint on the back had burnt out. I have resoldered this joitn and all seems fine now.

Sometimes, the manufacturer doesn't put the part number on the boards. You need a schematic to get the actual part number they use. the code flashing one then two red lights is for an upgrade of the software ---- you can go to their website and download a current fix to that problem onto a thumb drive----

dont need a service tech - take off cover and easy to replace---can find part on parts store.com for philips televisions --- used is about 130 and new about 330 -- used is a refurbished unit and works just as good as the new one
